Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has announced that a landless impoverished family will receive an annual assistance of Rs12,000, distributed in two installments. The first payment of Rs6,000 is scheduled to be credited to their accounts on December 28, 2024.

During a media briefing on Sunday, the Deputy Chief Minister highlighted that since coming into power in Telangana, the Congress government has invested Rs50,953 crore directly into agriculture and the welfare of farmers. Furthermore, it has resolved to support farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme starting from the Sankranti festival.

He also criticised the previous BRS government for failing to provide any assistance to farmers during its decade-long tenure. He stated that BRS leaders are misleading the public by creating false perceptions of their accomplishments.

Bhatti Vikramarka added that to foster the development of all regions in Telangana, the State government plans to establish airports in Kothagudem, Ramagundam, Adilabad, and Warangal areas for the expansion of industries across the State.

In a bid to develop the Hyderabad city on the lines of international cities, the State government has taken up the Musi Rejuvenation project and the proposed project will change the phase of Hyderabad, he said.

"We are going to construct a Regional Ring Road ( RRR) connecting all the districts. In addition to this, we are going to establish industrial and housing clusters between the outer ring road and the regional ring road, providing a big asset to future generations," Bhatti disclosed.
